Senior executive coaching is invaluable in a number of situations:
- in the first 90 days of taking up a new position
- as a non-judgemental, independent sounding board, helping you to create your own solutions and insights
- when a career has become “derailed”. A reliance on strengths and a lack of feedback may mean that skills and behaviours that worked for you previously may now not be having the desired impact
- when an organisation has decided to align management behaviour to a set of core values or competencies
- as a timely targeted approach to your specific development needs.
Senior executive coaching is not formulaic, each situation is unique. I work with you to establish a clear business agenda, understand your needs and style of working and help you see a way forward. I may recommend the use of psychometric testing instruments to provide you with objective insights. A typical coaching relationship lasts from three to nine months, involving a mixture of face to face meetings, telephone calls and email correspondence, with regular reviews and feedback on the progress being made.
Increasingly, coaching is successfully being used in leadership development, it provides the time and space to take stock and develop solutions in a supportive and challenging environment.
