Coaching Teams
Building successful teams.
I advocate the theories that define successful teams as having high levels of trust, with everyone having a clear focus and an understanding of not only their own goals but those of others.
Coaching teams I help them to diagnose their current effectiveness and clarify "what type of a team they need to be". I then equip them with the skills and knowledge to:
- build effective working relationships
- appreciate individual differences and working preferences
- identify 'blind-spots'
- handle differing opinions and objectives
- hold higher quality conversations
- improve decision-making
- agree and commit to common goals and direction
Psychometric testing is valuable when coaching teams as profiling the team personality helps to understand similarities and differences, thereby improving understanding amongst the team members.
Through coaching teams a high energy, creative and productive environment is created. Stronger ideas are forthcoming and better decisions made. The team succeeds!
"Some teams work hard, have fun and get the job done. Other teams are miserable and ineffective, despite the fact that all the team members are working twice as hard as normal. Why is this?"
